Position Summary
We’re seeking licensed clinicians (LCSWs, LMHCs, or licensed Psychologists) to join our supervisor team on a part-time, independent contractor basis. Supervisors will provide individual and group clinical supervision to LMSWs, LMHC interns, or limited permit therapists working toward licensure in New York State. This role is ideal for seasoned clinicians who are committed to fostering clinical excellence, teaching best practices, and maintaining strong ethical and administrative oversight.
Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision: Provide weekly supervision that includes case conceptualization, ethics, skill-building, and reflective dialogue. Ensure supervisees remain within their scope of practice and are supported in areas of diagnostic clarity, treatment planning, and therapeutic process.
Operational Oversight: Train supervisees in Insight Therapy NYC’s documentation standards, scheduling systems, communication protocols, and practice-wide procedures. Monitor documentation and communicate regularly with administrative and billing teams.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure supervisees complete timely progress notes (within 48–72 hours of service) and maintain accurate clinical records. Sign off on documentation within one week. Maintain your own up-to-date supervision records for audits and compliance.
Supervision Relationship & Growth: Create a supervision space that is inclusive, supportive, and rooted in professional accountability. Model ethical behavior, cultural humility, strong clinical boundaries, and consistent follow-through. Help supervisees develop their unique clinical voice.
Collaboration: Attend supervisor meetings, trainings, and consultations. Remain available for urgent clinical consults or clearly communicate your escalation and coverage plans. Coordinate with practice leadership if a supervisee needs remediation or additional support.
Evaluation & Structure: Complete quarterly evaluations for each supervisee using the practice’s review format. Participate in feedback processes regarding your own supervisory role and cohort outcomes. Supervision at Insight is a role defined by integrity, consistency, and care.
