Christina Mancuso, LCSW
Supervisor, Licensed Psychotherapist
“Only you have the ability to create change toward your truth and authentic self.”
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), certified traumatologist, health and wellness enthusiast, and nutrition specialist who works with people in New York City and throughout New York state. My approach to therapy is proactive and aims to facilitate insight and growth by helping you uncover patterns that may be inhibiting your growth. We’ll work as a team to harness your innate strengths and define what success looks like for you. Together we’ll create solutions that are uniquely tailored to you and where you currently are so that you feel ready and empowered to reach your goals.
My Therapy Style
I draw from elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy. I support and encourage a health and wellness lifestyle for my clients that encompasses their mind, body and spirit. A healthy body fosters clarity, which in turn empowers a healthy mind. Once developed, this newfound clarity and awareness is much like a muscle that needs to be strengthened regularly so that it doesn’t atrophy.
I believe every individual can grow and evolve, as long as you have the desire to do so. If you have the desire, then the process is simply in developing your ability. Once we set out on our path together, we’ll begin to uncover what’s holding you back and approach new events that arise with fluidity and confidence.
“When you’re ready to grow, therapy becomes more than just a space to talk. It becomes a place to shift, stretch, and strengthen the parts of you that are ready for something more.”
My Supervision Style
I enjoy mentoring and collaborating with like-minded clinicians, those who are eager to grow, show up with authenticity, and are willing to be vulnerable in the room. My moral compass guides much of my work and keeps me accountable, and I expect that same level of accountability from the clinicians I supervise.
I don’t expect supervisees to have all the answers. What matters more to me is their curiosity, openness, and investment in their development. A willingness to learn, take feedback, and reflect thoughtfully on the work is, to me, a strong sign of a solid clinical foundation.
I value clear communication and encourage a collaborative and transparent dynamic. Supervisees are expected to maintain accurate documentation and uphold ethical standards that reflect integrity in both their clinical and professional practices. In return, I commit to holding myself to those same standards.
I work best with clinicians who are engaged, invested, and committed to doing work that is both ethical and impactful. When someone is open to challenge and willing to grow, that inspires me and makes the supervisory relationship all the more meaningful.

I feel most attuned to clients navigating complex trauma, relationship struggles, grief, identity shifts, and inner critic dynamics. I love working with entrepreneurs, creatives, and individuals who feel lost, stuck, or alone—those longing to reconnect with their authentic selves and feel more motivated, holistic, and aligned. My style is intuitive, warm, and deeply relational.
I also love working with men who are navigating the tension between strength and vulnerability, responsibility and emotional honesty. Many of the men I work with are high-functioning but emotionally isolated, unsure how to share what’s really going on inside. Our work often focuses on permission, language, and healing.
Likewise, I work closely with women who are exhausted from overfunctioning, people-pleasing, or carrying family burdens. Together, we explore how to release the weight of old roles and step into a fuller, freer self.
My Brooklyn roots, Black cultural lineage, and lifelong spiritual curiosity shape how I show up in the room: grounded, compassionate, humorous, and attuned to survival and softness.
